Dylan Hannan / Sax - Flute - Clarinet

After joining the Jazz Band in middle school on saxophone, Dylan fostered a love for music. During his time at Satellite High School, he picked up the clarinet and delved into piano. Dylan attended the University of Central Florida, earning his degree in Jazz Studies. During his time at UCF, he pursued a private study in theory/composition on piano. Dylan also participated heavily in classical chamber music with the UCF Saxophone Quartet, which won the Florida & Southeastern rounds of the MTNA Collegiate Chamber Music Competition in 2018, earning a spot in the finals.

As a performing artist, Dylan has played in many musical idioms including Rock, R&B, Salsa, and Ska. He has performed alongside trumpet legend Arturo Sandoval, jazz vocalist Veronica Swift, jazz saxophonist Ira Sullivan, and had the privilege to work with Fredrick Hemke before his passing. Dylan can be heard playing with the Orlando Jazz Orchestra, Orlando Big Band, Space Coast Big Band, Reese Montgomerey 5, Chief and the Captain, and the house jazz trio at Itta Bena on International Dr.

As an educator, Dylan began teaching privately in 2015, and has taught everything from chamber ensembles to entire woodwind sections since. He is currently the woodwind tech for a few Marching Band programs in Orange County, as well as a private instructor. His students have been successful in the FMEA All-State & All-County bands across multiple counties. Dylan is currently on the recommended private instructor list for Brevard County Public Schools.

His love of music has no boundaries in terms of genres or styles. Dylan believes that learning music can be an introduction to the complexities and beauty of life.
