David Creel / Guitar

David has had a lifelong love and passion for music. His interest in guitar was set from an early age spending many nights watching his father play and sing, whilst dancing around the living room with his sister. In seventh grade he joined a guitar elective course and spent most of his freetime trying to learn more via YouTube, eventually moving on to study under Al Brodeur and Jon Oxford. He has since played guitar in jazz bands, and marching/concert percussion throughout junior/senior high school. During this time, he has played numerous local gigs from weddings, churches, restaurants, bars, as well as the space coast and Momento Music Festivals. He currently plays with The Mean Violets, and in a jazz guitar duo with fellow instructor Gabriel Ottomanelli and is midway through his music education degree. He enjoys all genres of music, but his favorite band/artists include; Jon Batiste, Funkadelic, Stevie Wonder, The Grateful Dead, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Slightly Stoopid. In addition to learning songs, his teaching focuses heavily on rhythm, ergonomic and healthy techniques, and music theory. As a guitar, bass, and beginning piano teacher, he loves seeing the excitement, curiosity, and successes of his students as they progress through their musical journey.
